Establish a profitable Home-Based business

Now days it’s more and more complicated to generate ends meet with just one source of income.  Thus, increasingly people are investigating the potential of starting their own additional-income business. Most of these part-time activities are started and operated from the comfort and confidentiality of the home.

Many people are generating the additional money they need. Some have intelligently and carefully built these extra income efforts into full-time, very profitable businesses. They are just keeping busy, having fun, and enjoying life as never before. The important thing is that they are doing something other than waiting for the government to give them a handout; they are civilizing their lot in life, and you can do it, too!

The fields of mail order selling, multi-level marketing, and in-home party sales have never been more popular. If any of these kinds of extra income producing ideas appeal to you, then you owe it to yourself to check them out.  But these aren't the only fields of endeavor you can start and operate from home, with little or no investment, and learn as you go.

If you type, you can start a home-based typing service; if you have a truck or have access to a trailer, you can start a clean-up/hauling service.  Simply collecting old newspapers from your neighbors can get you started in the paper recycling business.  More than a few enterprising housewives have found success and fortune by starting home and/or apartment cleaning services.  If you have a yard full of flowers, you can make good extra money by supplying fresh cut flowers to restaurants and offices in your area on a regular basis. You might turn a ceramics hobby into a lucrative personalized coffee mug business. What I'm saying is that in reality, there's literally no end to the ways you can start and operate a profitable extra income business from your home.

The first thing you must do, however, is some basic market research. Find out for yourself, first-hand, just how many people there are in your area who are interested in your proposed product or service, and would be "willing to stand in line and pay money for it". This is known as defining your market and pinpointing your customers. If  after checking around, talking about your idea with a whole lot of people over a period of one to three months, you get the idea that these people would be paying customers, your next effort should be directed toward the "detailing" of your business plan. The more precise and detailed your plan - covering all the bases relating to how you'll do everything that needs to be done - the easier it's going to be for you to attain success. Such a plan should show you start-up investment needs, your advertising plan, your Production costs and procedure, your sales program, and how your time will be allocated.  Too often, enthusiastic and ambitious entrepreneur jump in on an extra income project and suddenly find that the costs are beyond their abilities, and the time requirements more than they can meet.  It pays to lay it all out on paper before you get involved, and the clearer you can "see" everything before you start, the better your chances for success.

Now, assuming you've got your market targeted, you know who your customers are going to be and how you're going to reach them with your product or service.  And you have all your costs as well as time requirements itemized.  The next step is to set your plan in motion and start making money.

Here is the most important "secret" of all, relating to starting and building a profitable home-based business, so read very carefully. Regardless of what kind of business you start, you must have the capital and the available time to sustain your business through the first six months of operation. Specifically, you must not count on receiving or spending any money coming in from your business on yourself or for your bills during those first six months. All the income from your business during those first six months should be reinvested in your business in order for it to grow and reach your planned first year potential.

Once you've passed that first six months milestone, you can set up a small monthly salary for yourself, and begin enjoying the fruits of your labor.  But the first six months of operation for any business are critical, so do not plan to use any of the money you business generates for yourself during that period.

If you've got your business plan properly organized, and have implemented the plan, you should at the end of your first year be able to begin thinking about hiring other people to alleviate some of your workload.  Remember this: Starting a successful business is not a means towards either a job for yourself or a way to keep busy. It should be regarded as the beginning of an enterprise that will grow and prosper, with you as the top dog.

Eventually, you'll have other people doing all the work for you, even running the entire operation, while you vacation in the Bahamas or Hawaii and collect or receive regular income from your initial efforts.

Secrets to start a successful business

The Pakistani vision is, and always will be, to come up with an plan, start a business and become wealthy from your own struggle. Based upon this enthusiasm, thousands of businesses fail each year, due mainly to not being familiar with the basics involved in running a business.

This tale will make clear to you, and give you many suggestions you can use to better guarantee your chances for success. Remember the warning that any and every business venture contains certain inherent risks, and any number of alternatives. We do not espouse that any one way is the right way or that our suggestions are the only way. On the contrary, we advise that before investing any money in a business venture, you seek counseling and help from a experienced accountant or attorney.

Just about the first thing you should consider before deciding to establish or acquire a business is the legal form you will be operating under. There are basically four choices (a)sole proprietorship, (b)partnership, (3)limited partnership, and (4)corporation.

All has a number of advantages and disadvantages. We'll try to itemize some of them for you. As much as anything else, for various people starting a business is a form of ego-gratification, and they form a corporation for some sort of status gain, just to say, "I own a corporation."

With just a bit of observation, you will find that one of the major causes of business failures is due to the founder wasting start-up capital on frills, such as an impressive Store Front, expensive furnishings, and corporate legal costs.

The basic deed you must develop it you're going to be successful in business, is a firm hold on your expenditures. As a matter of fact, a good rule of thumb is that anything that does not make money for you or protects your investment should not be purchased. Positively, this applies to the expense of setting up your own corporation.

Except you have a partnership and start your business as such, the only real advantage to forming a corporation would appear to be that a corporate structure will semi-protect the property you personally own. As an example, you own a home and car. You form a corporation to shield these possessions from business losses. Yet, if you can be found guilty of misusing corporate funds, your business creditors can pierce the corporate shield and come after your possessions.

Principally, if you invest everything you have in your business, as most newcomers do, you don't usually need a corporation because you have nothing to protect. Your household possessions, personal belongings, generally your car, and even a portion of the equity in your home is protected by the homestead provision of the Federal Bankruptcy Act, and cannot be taken away from you.

As a sole proprietor or partner of a business you'll be paying taxes on your overall earnings, much the same as if you were holding down a salaried or hourly paid job.  Whether you do or don't take out money as a salary will have no bearing on the earnings of your business and tax return.

Management Lessons

Never start a project unless all resources are available.

STORY NO. 1
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?"

The crow answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Management Lesson:
To sit and do nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

STORY NO. 2
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy.

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients."
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of  the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fortnight, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was spotted by a farmer, who promptly shot the turkey out of the tree.

Management Lesson:
Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

STORY NO. 3
When the body was first made, all the parts wanted to be Boss. The brain said, "I should be Boss because I control the whole body's responses and functions."

The feet said, "We should be Boss as we carry the brain about and get him to where he wants to go." The hands said, "We should be the Boss because we do all the work and earn all the money." And so it went on and on with the heart, the lungs and the eyes until finally the asshole spoke up. All the parts laughed at the idea of the asshole being the Boss. So the asshole went on strike, blocked itself up and refused to work.

Within a short time the eyes became crossed, the hands clenched, the feet twitched, the heart and lungs began to panic and the brain fevered. Eventually they all decided that the asshole should be the Boss, so the motion was passed. All the other parts did all the work while the Boss just sat and passed out the shit!

Management Lesson:
You don't need brains to be a Boss – any asshole will do.

IMPORTANT STORY

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold, the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out!  He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.  A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!

Management Lessons:
1) Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) When you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut!

Organize your time to accommodate an online business

Almost every internet user wants extra money coming in, and with this aspiration the majority would like to start some sort of extra income producing project. The trouble is, not many of these people seem able to fit "a second job" into their time schedules. Truth is that most people are hectic busy, but extra time for some sort of home-based additional income producing mission can almost always be attractive. It may mean giving up or changing a few of your favorite pastimes like having a couple of beers with friends or watching Movies or hanging out with girls but if you score big with your extra income method, you will have all the time you want for doing whatever you what to do.

Professional time management boils down to planning what you're going to do, and then doing it without backtracking. Start by making a list of the things you wish to do tomorrow, each evening before you go to bed. Schedule your trips to the store or wherever to coincide with the other things you have to do, and with your trips to or from work. Organize your trips to take care of as many things as feasible while you're out of the house.

Now take reserve of the time you spend on the mobile and eliminate all that is not necessary.

Set aside a specific time to do household tasks and a specific amount of time to assign to them. For instances, just one hour a day devoted to yard work would probably make your property the envy of all your neighbors. Don't try to do a week's work in one big flurry. Whether it's painting your house, fixing leaky faucets, or mowing your lawn and trimming your shrubs, do a part of it, or one particular job each day, and you'll be amazed at your advancement.

Pay attention of all your mail the day, you receive it. Don't let those bills and letters pile up on you. If you're unable to pay a bill immediately, file it in a special place that's visible, and note on the envelope the date you intend to pay it. Answer your letters the same day you get them, try out to pay utility bills with automatic online banking services.

Just the once you start listing and planning what to do, and then transmit out your plans, you'll find plenty of "extra time" for handling virtually any kind of home-based income producing scheme. People in general may not like routines or schedules, but without some sort of plan as to what is supposed to be done, the world would be mired in mass confusion. Laws, ordinances and regulations are for the purpose of guiding people. We live according to an accepted plan or way of life, and the better we can organize ourselves, the more dynamic and happy we become.

The secret of all financially successful people is all simple, that they are organized and do not waste time. Think about it and examine your own activities, and then see if you can't find a couple of extra hours in each day for more constructive accomplishments.

When you start planning, and then when you really become involved in an extra income producing endeavor, you should work it exactly as you have organized your regular day-to-day activities on a basis of time. Do what has to be done immediately. Don't try to get done in a hour something that's realistically going to take a week. Plan out on paper what you have to do--what you want to do and when you are going to do it. Then get right on each project without procrastination.

Finally, and above all else, life is not only an earning program, when you're organizing your time and your business, be sure to set aside some time for relaxation. Be sure to schedule time for religious activities, home, friends and when you and your spouse can be together. You must not involve yourself to an extent that you exclude other people particularly your loved ones from your life.

Taking stock of the time you waste each day, and from there, reorganizing your activities is what it's all about. It's a matter of becoming well-organized in the use of your time. It's really simple to do, and you will not only accomplish a lot more, you will also find greater fulfillment in your life.
